My review of Hotel Napoleon Paris

When you decide to go on a girls weekend with your sister and daughter, you gotta do it right! I had a few requirements when searching for a hotel which included a good central location. A little bit of luxury, given it was a girly weekend and a descent room set-up so I could still have an evening with my sister. We found a beautiful five star hotel located right next to the Arc de Triomphe. Here is my review of Hotel Napoleon Paris.

Hotel Napolean, Paris

When we pulled up in a taxi outside, we immediately knew we were going to be well looked after. The porter was standing waiting to open the door and take our bags (always useful when you are carrying a toddler). My sister who doesn’t travel as much as we do nudged me with excitement trying not to let a high pitched ‘eeeeek’ out. We could see the Arc de Triomphe and Champ Elysse was just one street away so we knew it was going to be easy to walk to all the sites. my review of hotel napoleon paris

The Decor

Other than the amazing empire style decor of the hotel lobby,  I immediately noticed an amazing smell when I walked through the door. I asked one of the receptionists what it was and he told me it was a specially designed perfume for the hotel. Starting to understand how luxurious it is?

As soon as we got into our room Esmé did her usual check out of the area. It generally involves bouncing on the bed, getting under the covers, a try of all seats, ransack of any food and when she makes it to the bathroom she usually shouts for a bath. I obliged immediately when I saw the array of complimentary adult and child L’occitane products in the bathroom. I LOVE the smell of lavender, so we jumped into our robes ran a bath.
We got an upgrade to suite avenue which had sliding doors opening up to a living space from the bedroom. This was perfect for closing the doors over in the evenings and enjoying some adult company whilst watching Paris from the balcony. Esmé was tucked up happily sleeping in her cot. We really enjoyed the complimentary signature Napoleon champagne and handmade artesian fudge. It made our evening lying around in robes chatting extra special. As you can imagine after a hot lavender bath and a tipple of champagne we slept like logs! my review of hotel napoleon paris

Luckily for us we had a very good reason to get out of bed – the incredible breakfast! We are a fussy combo of people and the fact all our needs were catered for without hesitation may give you an indication of its quality. There was an array of fresh fruits, warm fresh breads, seeds, nuts yoghurts, cheeses deli meats and so on, we were totally set up for the day with happy tummies. As we travel so often it is always really important to me to have healthy and tasty breakfast options, we were not let down!my review of hotel napoleon paris

I often worry about having a toddler in a highly luxurious hotel but Napoleon Paris was amazing with Esmé. They were always friendly, helpful and understanding of a two year olds behaviour.  Esmé was given a soft cuddly bee which had a story to go with it. There  was a bee hive on the roof where they get their own homemade honey. Apparently this is quite a common practice in Parisian hotels which I was not aware of! my review of hotel napoleon paris

Overall we had an amazing stay and a massive thank you to Hotel Napoleon Paris for having us as their guests. The hotel has a range of rooms ranging from a standard room right up to a penthouse suite with two bedrooms. We found the suite avenue most suitable for a small family.
